We ended last season of Dance Moms with the question of whether or not Kelly and her girls would be returning to the Abby Lee Dance Company. Well, Dance Mom-ers, it looks like things may be a lot worse for us.
Despite recently being signed on for a third season, word on the street is that our favorite Dance Moms may not be returning at all. There’s not a whole lot of information out about the situation yet, but a crawl through the web of Twitter paints a picture of what’s going on, and I’m sure you can probably guess what that is: Abby sucks and the moms are getting more and more pissed off about it.
In the slideshow you can see a conglomeration of all of the tweets I pulled together from Abby and the moms in chronological order. Kelly has yet to weigh in on the situation, and Cathy seems to have somehow refrained from any gloating so far as well.
I contacted Christi, and she has no comment on the situation so far. But if we know Christi (and I think we do), she’ll have plenty of words when the time comes. I’ll keep you all posted.
Funny thing to me is how Abby is always trying to paint these moms as money-hungry opportunists. Dude, Abby… You whored out your dance studio to Lifetime to make some coin. Pot, kettle. Kettle, pot. Everyone wants to make a buck. That’s human nature. If I could make money by people meeting my dog, I’d take my dog out every night of the week. It beats the hell out of a real job. Dance Moms is called Dance Moms because there are dance moms on the show. Without them, you have a show called Dance Studio That’s Only Famous Because of a TV Show with a Giant Annoying Lady Yelling All the Time. Granted, I’d probably watch it once or twice to see just how shitty it is, but it just doesn’t have the same ring to it.
All I know is that they need to figure this crap out so that Season 3 happens and happens with the moms we all know and love. Get it together, people.
Edit: Apparently these slides won’t stay in order, so screw it. You get the idea.
