So I watched Dance Moms last night, and who better to talk with then you people?  By “you people” I’m not being racist.  Unless there is a race of people who watch the same shitty shows I do, in which case I am a self-loathing racist.

Anyway, I don’t have the time these days to update like crazy, as I’m sure you can tell by the fact that I haven’t posted in months, but I couldn’t resist but talk about Dance Moms.

First, let’s just get it out there … [Keep Reading...]

Post image for Baseball is Gayer than The X Factor.

So there I was at home last night, just waiting for the baseball game to end so I could watch X Factor and write my review about it for all of you lovely readers.  But the game just kept going.  And then it kept going.  It went some more.

That’s pretty much what baseball does.  They just play the game until the pitcher gets so bored that he just throws an easy hit because he wants to go home and sit on his too-fat-for-sports ass and knit or something.

The X-Factor Gets a Little More Interesting

So I watched the whole show tonight, but unfortunately I don’t have much time to write about it.  Here’s a few quick hits -

  • The show improved immensely tonight.  If I had to watch any more of those stage auditions, I was going to go crazy.  I like the division into groups.
  • However, if they plan on eliminating these groups as a whole, and not people individually within the groups, then that blows.  The whole team shouldn’t be penalized for one dopey kid’s terrible performance.
  • How did Mesh-Shirt Prince Guy make it

Glee – A Solid Asian F

“What’s an Asian F?” I wondered before I watched the show.  I was going to ask my Asian friend and best man in my wedding, but I’m not racist.  Plus he might karate chop me or stab me with a chopstick or something.

Tonight’s episode focused largely around Mike Chang disappointing his father by getting an A- on chemistry test, or as they call it on the show, an Asian F.  Get it?  Because Asian people are smart.  We see Mike and his dad in the Indian principal’s office and … [Keep Reading...]

The X Factor – Nicole Scherzinger didn’t suck quite as bad.

Okay, okay, I may have been a little harsh on her last night, but it’s not like she was really likable tonight.  She just wasn’t mean.  I was with Simon when she wouldn’t hurry up and give a straight yes or no answer, though.  Hurry up, chick.  You’re half the reason this show is taking up two damn hours of my life.

Anyway, thoughts from tonight’s last round of auditions:

  • Steve Jones.  Does anyone like anything about this guy besides his smashing good looks?  This guy could put me to

The X Factor – Nicole Scherzinger kind of sucks.

Really, what happened to this chick?  I don’t know if any of you watched The Sing-off when she was a judge, but she was super sweet.  I don’t think she made any friends tonight.  And why did she feel like she had to prove herself?  Luckily for her, and to my total surprise, should can actually sing.  If not, she would have been embarrassed and I would have not written this because I’d still be laughing right now.  She comes across as just mean.  Simon is mean, but he’s funny mean.  She’s … [Keep Reading...]
